TAMPA, Fla. — The Chicago Bears lost two starting offensive linemen in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with guard Kyle Long and tackle Bobby Massie leaving with injuries.

Long suffered a significant injury to his right ankle and was carted off the field and Massie suffered a concussion and will not return.

The Bears had just gotten Long and guard Kyle Sitton back this week after both missed last week’s game with injuries. Ted Larsen stepped in for Long after the injury and Mike Adams took over at right tackle.

The Bucs, who started the game down two starters on the offensive line with Joe Hawley (knee) and Kevin Pamphile (concussion) both out, lost one of their replacements when center Evan Smith suffered a knee injury. Ben Gottschalk, making his NFL debut, stepped in at center, right next to rookie Caleb Benenoch, who made his NFL debut as the starting left guard.
